UKEC is overhauling its website to serve as the central information hub for Malaysian students, with previous WordPress milestones leading into an internal developer-led rebuild slated for early 2027.

UKEC is rebuilding its digital platform to improve accessibility and navigation for students, corporate partners, and external stakeholders. The core objective is to shift UKEC away from social media dependency, establishing the official website as the primary reference point for the Malaysian student community.

Project Governance and Timeline

The revamp is jointly overseen by the Secretariat and Strategy Office and the UKEConnect Office, with technical development and ongoing maintenance outsourced to an internal developer. The launch is targeted for 15 February 2027, subject to schedule adjustments.

Historical Milestones and Development

Early Enhancements

Prior improvements on www.ukeconline.com focused on optimizing user flows and site structure via WordPress. Key features deployed included a custom link page, individual office pages, a redesigned CEKU section, and the rollout of the UKEC Application Tracker (UKECareers).

Current Trajectory

These initial updates establish the functional baseline for the broader redesign phase, transitioning internal maintenance into a comprehensive system upgrade.
