This volunteering initiative creates structured opportunities for Malaysian students to engage with local communities through organised charity work, such as volunteering at an old folks’ home or supporting marginalised communities.

The program serves a dual purpose by allowing students to give back to the community while also developing valuable soft skills like teamwork, cultural sensitivity, leadership, and social awareness that will benefit them personally and professionally.

UKECharity is scheduled in the summer, which strategically utilises the break when students have no academic load, making participation more accessible while also providing meaningful activities that combat isolation and build a sense of purpose.
