Smaller career programmes held around the UK and Ireland to upskill Malaysian students across the country. Runs throughout January and February.

Overview and Timeline

Regional Career Events (RCEs) are localized career programmes held across the UK and Ireland in the weeks leading up to TMCF, allowing students to access career support close to home. The 2026/27 series runs from late January through February 2027.

Event Formats

RCEs feature two distinct structures:

  • Employer-led sessions: Focus on company operations, recruitment processes, insider hiring insights, and direct networking opportunities.

  • Workshop-led sessions: Offer practical development run alongside industry professionals and alumni, covering CV clinics, mock interviews, LinkedIn and personal branding, assessment centre preparation, and career pathway exploration.

Combining these formats guarantees comprehensive career support for students, regardless of local employer presence.

Delivery and Collaboration

Each RCE typically runs for a half day and is delivered in partnership with the Regional Chairperson Office. Malaysian student societies interested in collaborating with UKECareers to host an RCE in their region can reach out directly to the office.
